How Mevona's procedure pages are written
Updated October 22, 2026.
Mevona publishes pages about cosmetic procedures: what each one changes, at what dose, from which angle, what it costs, how long recovery takes and what the known risks are. This page says who writes them, how, from which sources, and what they are not. It applies to every page under /procedures, /concerns and /compare.
Who writes
Every page is written and signed by a named author. Today that author is Jérémie Aouate, founder of Mevona, who designed the measurement and preview pipeline the pages illustrate. His name and the dates of publication and last update appear at the top of each page.
The pages are information, not medical advice, and they do not replace a consultation with a qualified professional who can examine you.
How a page is made
- The questions come first. For each procedure we collect what people actually search and ask: the phrasing, the doses they mention, the fears they name. The page answers those questions in that order.
- The sources come before the text. We read the professional societies (the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The Aesthetic Society), the Cleveland Clinic health library and peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed. Every figure on a page points to one of them, in the sentence where it appears.
- Drafting and checking. Drafts are written from the sources listed, then edited, fact-checked line by line and signed by the author. The author is responsible for every sentence.
- The visuals. Every visual on a procedure page is a Cosmetic Preview made with the same pipeline our members use, on a demonstration face, at one of the three doses of the app, from the front or in profile. The caption names the first name, the procedure, the dose and the angle. They are not patients, not clients, not testimonials and not results of any procedure.
- Review before publishing. Each page is read against a fixed checklist: every claim sourced, no promise of result, no personal advice, the dose described with the app's own labels, the referral to a qualified professional present, the links working.
Sources we use, and sources we do not
We cite professional societies, academic medical centers and peer-reviewed research with a PubMed identifier or a DOI. Cost figures come from the ASPS, which publishes average surgeon fees, and from community-reported ranges when we name them as such. Each source is listed at the end of the page with its publisher and year.
We do not cite forums, social media, clinic marketing pages, or other companies' content. We do not link to clinics and we have no affiliation with any surgeon, clinic or injector. We do not accept sponsored content.
What Mevona is not
Mevona is a cosmetic, educational reading of your photos. It is not a medical service, and its pages are not medical advice.
- A Cosmetic Preview is an illustration of the kind of change a procedure makes. It does not predict the result of any procedure on you.
- A Facial Dossier measures and describes your face on your photos. It does not diagnose anything and does not recommend any procedure.
- No page tells you whether a procedure is right for you. That conversation belongs with a qualified professional who can examine you.
- Mevona is for adults 18 and over.
Dates, updates and corrections
Each page carries a publication date and a last update date. We re-read every procedure page at least once a year, and sooner when a society updates its figures or a source we cite is withdrawn. Cost figures are tied to the year of the source and are updated when the source is.
If you find an error, a broken link or a claim without a source, write to support@mevona.app with the page address and the sentence. We answer within a day and correct the page, with the update date changed, when the correction is warranted.
Independence
Mevona earns its revenue from one thing: a membership, paid by the people who use the app. We sell no procedure, take no referral fee and run no advertising on these pages. The pages exist so that someone considering a procedure can see what it changes, at three doses, on a whole face, before they talk to anyone.
